Sencilion and its partners have developed a disposable or rechargeable sensor patch for sports equipment, measuring acceleration and angular velocity. Initially meant for golf, this can be modified for many other sports as well.

Born from Innovation

The company was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. It began as a spin-off from Helsinki University of Technology (HUT), and active operations commenced in 2005. The early years were spent developing the technology in battery technology. Entry into the wireless sports and healthcare sensor market was made in 2015, as well as collaboration agreements with selected chip manufacturers.
